Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
- How can I add or update a radio station?
You can submit a request to add a new radio station or update existing information using this form:
https://online-radio.my/index.php?do=feedback - Why does a radio station stop playing after a few minutes?
If a radio station uses an HTTP stream, we play it through our custom script. This method has limitations — it can only stream continuously for 3 to 5 minutes. After that, the stream needs to be manually refreshed. To avoid this issue, we recommend using HTTPS streams instead. Our mobile app does not have this limitation. - How is the radio station ranking calculated?
The ranking is based on a simple formula: the more people listen to a station, the higher it appears in the directory. However, rankings are calculated based on listener data from the last 7 days. If a station becomes less popular, it will gradually move down in the ranking. - How is the top songs list created for each station?
We count how many times each song is played on the station. The more frequently a song is played, the higher it ranks in the chart. This method usually highlights recent and popular hits that get more airplay. - Why do some stations not have playlists?
Not all radio stations provide metadata with song information. Our system attempts to extract this data from the stream, but if it's not available, we can't generate a playlist. However, most stations do include this information in their metadata, so playlists are available for many of them.
